Media guide out. Yes, yet another new “third” uniform. /three snaps, a twist and a kiss
New CW – Montana haunts App State. Old CW – Richmond haunts App State.
Preseason by the numbers. App State – “Seven Pre-Season All-Americans.” (Oh, and the Stink is gonna wanna correction on title count)
Prayers. “Chattanooga linebacker Bo Dyer is out indefinitely with a blood clot.”
Spread, schmead. Triple option is the heat.
Clubber Lang new face of SoCon. LeGreedy begs to differ.
The Swag building something Swaggier. “There’s just a positive winning culture around our program right now.”
Speaking of Swag. Look who’s a Cowboy.
‘Whee a wee bit smaller. “Wagner said quarterback Casey Turner and senior offensive lineman Matt Winter left the team for personal reasons.”
IMG to acquire ISP Sports. This mean better buffering?
Playoff vs. bowl debate rages. No, not that debate.
Look who Montana is playing. Cool.
As long as I can remember, triple-option/wingbone teams have given us fits. The fact that we’ll see three this season is troubling.
Comment by AppGrad78 07.28.10 @ 3:54 pmI agree 78. I hate it with a passion. GSU is deadly with it. However, the fact that we will see it three times might be a good thing. We will get more practice with it.
Still scary though.
Comment by asu7 07.28.10 @ 3:58 pmIs there a good reason to stay at ccc?
Comment by asu7 07.28.10 @ 3:59 pm3 years in a row that I will say this:
THE YELLOW JERSEYS ARE NOT AWESOME.
Comment by Jamey 07.28.10 @ 4:20 pmThe triple option is most effective for a team if they’re the only ones using it. Preparation is the key to stopping it.
Comment by clayton 07.28.10 @ 5:31 pmThe yellow jerseys are much much less than awesome. They be ugly
Comment by bcoach 07.28.10 @ 5:59 pmI like the 3rd uniform. I wouldn’t take over what we wear home and away but, for one game I think I’ll look forward to them.
On another note here is an interesting link that provides the median salary for every college and university in the U.S. As expected, ASU is fairly far down the list especially for starting salaries.

Comment by hapapp 07.28.10 @ 6:40 pmthat should be “the median salary for graduates of every…”
Comment by hapapp 07.28.10 @ 6:41 pmYou’re all forgetting one thing. GSU has players who were recruited to run Chris Hatcher’s passing offense. It may take them a year or two to get the hang of the option. Of course, by that time the natives in the Stink will be in riot mode and decide its time to lynch another coach.
Comment by Flashman 07.28.10 @ 7:49 pmThe triple option is one of the best things about FCS.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.28.10 @ 7:55 pmI wish we would go to the 1989 “steelers” jerseys. Black on gold and white on gold were great.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.28.10 @ 7:57 pmI’d like to see us wear all white with black numbers and letters as the 3rd option…almost the reverse of all black.
Besides, that would match our coaching staff…but then I guess the numbers would have to be all white as well which wouldn’t work.
Comment by MIDWEST 07.28.10 @ 9:50 pmI like Steve Brown’s jersey on page 173.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.28.10 @ 9:55 pmI can’t stand the all-white uni look. I’m convinced it’s why we lost the JMU game in ‘08.
Comment by Dan 07.28.10 @ 11:24 pmWouldn’t it be great if DMoore won the Payton award, thus denying Riddle for a fourth year!
Comment by JMcCray 07.28.10 @ 11:32 pm“Triple option is the heat.” I thought I was the only one to say something was the heat. I thought that phrase was only popular to say about 20 years ago for about five minutes. Man, AppFan.com is the Heat.
Comment by AppWyo 07.28.10 @ 11:43 pmwhite uniforms and no kick off coverage.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.29.10 @ 6:37 amapparently we’re wearing the gold against NCCU this year. I like them better than last year’s gold.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.29.10 @ 6:39 amI like the yellow uni’s, a modern look for a modern dynasty. I love tradition as well as the next guy, but we aren’t exactly Penn State, and seem to change our logo and uni’s a lot; some of you 70’s grads can probably confirm this. If you are not going to stick with something for trad sake, mixing it up is pretty great and gives us some buzz. Plus, and I may be wrong, but I don’t see nike rolling this out for many other fcs teams . . . That is cool.
Comment by AppOrange 07.29.10 @ 7:58 amSteve Brown’s uniform on page 173.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.29.10 @ 8:02 amIf we (and by WE I mean Nike) are going to implement a 3rd uniform every year then why not go with THROWBACK? Give me the old Mountaineer with the corncob pipe. Give me the Josh Jeffries all black with APPALACHIAN across the chest. Make it a toast to the past rather than an Oregon wannabe.
Comment by Jamey 07.29.10 @ 8:37 amanyone seen the free videos to ASU download on Itunes?
I can’t take it anymore the car flags are going on the car today. 37 days is close enough.
Comment by asu7 07.29.10 @ 9:16 amMy excitement level for this season went through the roof last night as I watched NBC6 in Charlotte interview AE as he was moving into his training camp dorm. While it slightly pained me to see an ASU alum being forced to live at Wofford, my overwhelming pride took care of it. He looked like he has put on some size and gave great few quotes regarding his excitement about finally getting to see what the NFL is really like. I swear this is the most anticipation football season I have ever experienced. Between the presence of AE on my beloved Panthers and the huge number of returning players at ASU I am literally giddy about football.
Comment by Jamey 07.29.10 @ 9:32 amHere’s the video Jamey is talking about.

Armanti doesn’t get much time and it’s at the end. However, how many times can they show Clausen texting and walking over and over and over. Geez.
Comment by herbstreitsucks 07.29.10 @ 9:40 amClausen is the second coming! Didn’t you know that?
And I kinda like the idea of AE (and Dexter) “invading” Wofford as NFL pros. That means Wofford needs to somewhat cater to their needs. Bwahahaha!
Comment by JMcCray 07.29.10 @ 9:58 amIf I were Brandon LaFell I would be loving life right now. He is likely going to make the most impact initially this season and the Charlotte media acts like he was never drafted. He is so far under the radar that hopefully defenses will forget about him until he starts lighting them up.
My prediction for Clausen: Maybe steals the #2 spot by the 3rd preseason game. He WILL NOT beat out Matt Moore though. If you watched him at ND then you know there is still a lot he needs to learn before being a good NFL QB. I think Tony Pike may actually have more upside in the long run.
Comment by Jamey 07.29.10 @ 10:27 amI agree Jamey, Matt Clausen has at least one full year before he is capable to effectively lead an NFL team. I was referring to his attitude, primarily.
Comment by JMcCray 07.29.10 @ 11:01 amClausen is a punk kid who will not win the respect of the locker room until he changes his attitude.
Comment by appfanmidwest 07.29.10 @ 11:58 amGwalt, good find on page 173, but if you look farther down the page you see a picture of Joe Burchette in what appears to be a running position. I love those old time pictures where they make the guys pose. You know this had to be what they were doing cause I never saw Joe move out of the pocket!
Comment by Rufus 07.29.10 @ 12:08 pmUnless it was to get another cig, Rufus!
Comment by Joe 07.29.10 @ 12:22 pmI know it his first full practice, but this from the Charlotte Observer:
“WR Armanti Edwards is going to have to work on his punt returns. He bobbled one near the end of practice, and on his next attempt, let it sail cleanly between his hands to hit him on the knee.
Safe to say Captain Munnerlyn’s ahead of him at this point, but Edwards is very new to the job and needs time to catch up.”
I have faith in AE!. He’ll come around.
GO APP!!
LMAO at Joe…got a light?
Comment by tim 07.29.10 @ 12:52 pmSC State gave us a good game over the past two years in the FCS Playoffs. They have a GREAT
Fan Base , they have a classy school/fans.
They would be a good member of the Southern Conference.
This would be the kind of CHANGE that would work!!!!
They need to ditch the MEAC!!!!
from the panthers site
On rookie Armanti Edwards making the transition to wide receiver from quarterback: We got a lot of that done – about 20 opportunities – in the offseason. He’s definitely a playmaker. He’s good with the ball in his hands. He proved that in his college career at the quarterback position. There are a lot of different roles on this football team that have to be filled, and we’ll evaluate him in a few of them.

Comment by appirishmen 07.29.10 @ 1:19 pmYeah, heard he dropped 2 and let 1 sail over his head. First time with pads and having guys running at you. Practice, practice practice……..
Comment by Big Dave 07.29.10 @ 1:54 pmThe CharlotteObserver.com blogs all just list the guys who have been dinged up already. Everyone on there is getting a little ill because no one has mentioned LaFell or Edwards yet.
Comment by Jamey 07.29.10 @ 2:01 pmI was hoping for a tweak to our current black and white jerseys, the old 2003 Miami style was fun for a while, but I think a tweak rather than a complete change would be nice. Not sure about the Nike Pro Combat deal, but at least Nike included us. Saw Montana had new jerseys on eastbay, how do they get on eastbay? They went the Nike Pro Combat route as well.
Comment by Kidd Brewer 07.29.10 @ 2:26 pmWho said last December that they weren’t really sure how cold it was in Montana in 2000 because he didn’t know if it was Burchette’s breath or his cig smoke coming out of his face mask?
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.29.10 @ 2:33 pmI will personally stick with my authentic #31 from the student store.
Comment by Jamey 07.29.10 @ 2:49 pmI think a trip to Knoxville is in order in 2011, go Griz.
Comment by Skibbers 07.29.10 @ 2:55 pmMy money is still on money. He will get it figured out. He has all the things you can’t teach. He just needs to work on his mechanics.
Comment by asu7 07.29.10 @ 3:13 pmI would never miss an APP for anyting but to creamsicle land, heck no. We will be playing va poly tech that day I bet. Now that is where I will be going.
Comment by asu7 07.29.10 @ 3:14 pmThat goes without saying 7, but if App isn’t then it would be a cool trip.
Comment by Skibbers 07.29.10 @ 3:24 pmAs long as AE is getting the job done at WR I’m not too concerned with PR. Return men usually only have a few decent seasons, but a good WR can have an impact for many years.
Comment by Waco Kid 07.29.10 @ 4:52 pmMontana Vs. Tennesee 9/3/11
App. St Vs. Va. Tech 9/3/11
Sticking with the FCS vs. FBS. Virginia Tech will play James Madison on Sept 11th this year (our first home game). If JMU plays to win, They may be competitve. Va. Tech is playing Boise St. On Monday night (9/6)then JMU on Saturday (9/11). I realize tech scheduled an FCS team intentionally so they wouldn’t loose a home game by not playing this weekend, but if I were them I would have scheduled a team like Gardner Webb or Western, JMU. If Mathews plays to win, that will be a score to keep up with.
Comment by Keith 07.29.10 @ 10:53 pm“If Matthews plays to win…”???? As opposed to playing to lose?
That is one of the problems I have with the FCS mentality and App being in the FCS. Many of you have no desire for us to play our starters against Florida so we can win the game. Why? So we can get a high seed in the JV playoffs. Who cares? If we’re good enough to beat Florida in Gainseville, we’re good enough to beat most FCS teams with a few nicks and cuts.
Where is the pride, people?? Even read the book about Vince Lombardi entitled, WHEN PRIDE STILL MATTERED? Maybe you should.
You either play to win or you don’t schedule the game.
Comment by MIDWEST 07.30.10 @ 7:32 amMidwest, settle down a little bit there man. I think what he was referring to is Mickey Mouth’s history of not playing FBS teams well..
And because some think we shouldn’t play our starters at Florida, does not make the whole fan base delusional. We should start the starters, and if the game gets out of hand in the favor of Florida, pull the starters and save them for later games. The same would happen if Gardner Webb or VMI were taking us to the wood shed (which I know, won’t happen any time soon) — its not a matter of who we’re playing, its a matter of the score and if the game is out of hand. No point in risking injury to our best players if even they aren’t playing well enough to win..
Comment by Joe 07.30.10 @ 7:47 amThe reality is that the game that matters the least on our schedule is Florida. We’ll play to win, but we cannot keep banging up our starters if it becomes a lost cause, especially right before the playoffs. The goal of this team is to win the SoCon and FCS title.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.30.10 @ 8:06 amDoes anyone understand what loosing the Florida game has to do with our seed in the playoffs? Also if FCS is so weak and we beat Florida why could we only beat MOST FCS teams and not ALL FCS teams?
Just askin
Bcoach.. what happens if we tighten the Florida game?
Normally a win is against a marginal bowl team. Those wins and the losses do not seem to have much of an effect. I think App gets the deal in 2007 without beating Michigan.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.30.10 @ 9:14 amWhy are we talking Florida when we have 10 games to focus on long before we head to The Swamp? You know when I want to hear game plans and opinions on Florida????
November 14, 2010 – the day after the Wofford game is played.
Despite what we may all want to think, this team will not cruise through this season like we have in the past few years. New personnel on the field and calling the shots will undoubtedly lead to a lot more close games and nail-biters. It is going to be imperative this season that the players and coaches focus on the task at hand each and every week. If we have learned anything from our success against Michigan it is that every week is the week you could slip up and lose a game that can kill your season. The focus for right now:
September 4, 2010 versus UT-Chat
Comment by Jamey 07.30.10 @ 9:29 amCome on Jamey.. who care what our first game is.. the only game that matters is clearly Florida since we can easily win the SEC title every year.. Even the big boys are no competition to us!
On a serious note, I agree 100%. Our next game is UTC.. let’s focus on them before anyone else!
Comment by Joe 07.30.10 @ 11:21 amJoe
I agree. My question was to midwest as he feels that this year Florida is the only team worthy of playing us. As for me, I am concerned about the rest of our schedule starting with the very first game. We have 2 or 3 possible losses on the schedule. We need to be concentrating on one game at a time.
I was at Michigan and it was great but in no way was it as big as the last game I went to that year.
I don’t care what anyone says, the Michigan game was far more relevant than a JV national championship victory. I was in an airport yesterday in Illinois wearing my App State football shirt. A Univ of Ill alum stopped me to comment on the Michigan game. He didn’t know what conference we played in, thought we played DII ball, BUT he knew that we beat Michigan. I think that tells you about all you need to know about the importance of the Florida game.
It is our national championship game, our super bowl, and would be the biggest upset ever (provided they don’t lay an egg earlier in the season).
I love the way you guys want to just cruise through the regular season by playing dogs so you can unfairly get a higher playoff seed. I’d say that’s far more lame than playing a competitive team in a a Bowl.
Comment by MIDWEST 07.30.10 @ 4:24 pmRelevant for who? Players, fans, coaches, future recruites, casual football fans, ESPN…?
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.30.10 @ 6:13 pmIt’s time to stop living in the past…
We will show up at Florida.
Comment by MIDWEST 07.30.10 @ 6:28 pmImportant to you because some guy came up and talked to you in an airport? THAT is what you call lame.
Comment by bcoach 07.30.10 @ 7:14 pmJoe,
If we tighten up in the game maybe we will not lose or if we are up by 6 after the half we will not be losing at that point.
Took me a while to figure out what the heck you were talking about.
Comment by bcoach 07.30.10 @ 7:34 pmbcoach,
No, it’s important to me because I’m sick and damn tired of people putting limitations on how great we can be.
There’s nothing worse than aspiring to be status quo.
Comment by MIDWEST 07.30.10 @ 8:00 pmMIDWEST, where have you once shown it would make sense to move up.. show some statistics like everyone who has said it does not make sense to move up right now.. Then, maybe, people will start to believe you.
You’re only argument is “We should move up so people in nebraska will know about us!”
Comment by Joe 07.30.10 @ 10:08 pmJoe come lately,
I’ve made my case over the years. We do not belong in the SoCon and you know it as well as everyone else. We continue to pound our little brothers in backyard football because it makes us feel good about ourselves. Wofford has 1,200 students. My high schools was bigger than that.
What we have here is called “The smartest kid in the dumb row syndrome.” Try taking some AP classes if you really want to learn more and achieve new heights.
God, you people need to get out of the trailer park every now and then.
Comment by MIDWEST 07.30.10 @ 10:22 pmWhat do you mean “you people?”
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.31.10 @ 7:31 amThe Weather Channel just created a list of the laziest states in the union (based on a variety of differnt metrics). North Carolina was ranked #4. Kind of goes along with my point that some of “you people” (anti-FBS) just want everything to stay the same. You know, because we don’t want to get in a hurry and be proactive because we may slide up to #5 on the lazy scale. Heaven forbid you have to walk a few extra yards to a bigger stadium. Nope, just want to sit as close the stadium as I can with my bucket of fried chicken and my cheez wiz dips.
Comment by MIDWEST 07.31.10 @ 10:41 amDon’t worry midwest – you have the “dumb row” all to yourself.
Comment by appfantoo 07.31.10 @ 10:44 amMidwest
If you are so unhappy with our program and the state of NC in general why don’t you just go where you will be happy. Some one who truly loves a program but in their mind wants it to advance does not rip it to ribbons at every opportunity. They build on the positives and make a case. You are a hater and that is never going to get you anywhere in your quest for glory. There are other FBS supporters here who I disagree with but I respect them. It is hard to respect your opinion because you can’t make a point without a putdown. I am very sure that if you respond to me it will only prove my point.
If you want to be a real man then come to a game pick a tailgate area and identify yourself. When you have done that tell those people to their faces what you think of them. Call them all the thing you call them on here. Then go down on the field after the game when the players come back out and tell them how they are JV and they beat up on little boys.
OR
Just state your case without all the crap. Stop telling us how you have done that over the many years you have been here and tell us one more time. Just act like a man and stop acting like a 10 yr old brat. Go back and read some of the things you wrote from Montana because those sounded like an adult. Use that same style and you may get some support.
Comment by bcoach 07.31.10 @ 12:20 pmIf I recall correctly, Alabama and Florida rank among the top 20 laziest states as well. So, what’s your point?
Comment by hapapp 07.31.10 @ 12:38 pmbcoach,
First of all, I don’t negotiate with hillbillies. Ever heard of a metaphor? I’m not looking to pick a fight. I just think we sell ourselves short far too often. We’re better than that.
Laziest states:
1. Louisiana
2. Mississippi
3. Alabama
4. North Carolina
I rest my case.
Comment by bcoach 07.31.10 @ 3:32 pmI’m about 93% sure Midwest is bipolar.
Comment by Gwaltineer 07.31.10 @ 4:08 pmI’m 93% sure he doesn’t know the proper definition or use of a metaphor.
Comment by bcoach 07.31.10 @ 4:28 pmI just talked to my IT guy and he told me he would be happy to block any post from midwest so that it does not show up on my computer. He will have it done in about 5 min.
Comment by bcoach 07.31.10 @ 4:32 pmMidwest I told you before you can’t argue with a doorpost
Comment by App in Greenwood, Home of AE 07.31.10 @ 4:54 pmbocoach,

Comment by hapapp 07.31.10 @ 8:17 pmBig Sky 2010 Predictions by MTD Security
What can I say? Well that’s simple – Is there another team besides Montana? NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. Montana will be very tough to beat. Let’s discuss each team one by one.
Montana,
As we know a great QB – Andrew Selle & RB – Chase Reynolds combo. A small down would be there new coach Robin Pflugrad, but then again he was an assistant there last year. As usually Montana Schedule is a joke. They start with D2 Western St. Now please who is Western St and where is it? The answer, if you care, is actual interesting. Western State is actually Western State College of Colorado and their nickname is yes The Mountaineers. Western State has not been a good D2 since the late 1990s, this with be an easy win for the Grizzlies. Last year Montana beat Western State 38-0. I hope with the Tennessee game in 2011 Montana decides not to play a D2 team. Next up is the Great West team Caly Poly. This will be Montana toughest non-conference game. Cal Poly is rebuilding, yes, but will give it all they got and then lose a close game. Next up is at the RED FIELD of Eastern Washington. This will be there toughest road conference game. We shall see if the new Red Field of Eastern Washington has similar results like the Blue Field of Boise St. There is no point in talking about there next four games – Sacramento St, Northern Colorado, Idaho St, & Portland St. On 10/23 they will play N. Arizona in Missoula, MT. This may be a game. Also, play Weber St on the road this may be a game. Finally on 11/13 they will North Dakota, North Dakota is in its second year of D1 football and last year they lost to the rising NAIA Champion team Sioux Falls, ND. This should another easy win. Last game as usually is Montana St, but unfortunately for Montana St the game is at Missoula so the game belongs to Montana. Predicted record 7-1, 10-1. I do not know what Conference team will beat them.
Montana St
This could be the year the Bobcats make it back to the playoff. What they do not want is for it to come down to the game on 11/20 at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. If it does season over just like the Screaming Eagles. Schedule starts off easy D2 Fort Lewis, better win big. Then at Washington St, I smell upset. On to Drake another easy win. A 3-0 start would look really good. The game against Eastern Washington could prove who the second best team in the Big Sky is. Should win the rest of games until the last one when they lose to Montana. Predicted record 6-2, 9-2.
Eastern Washington
It’s a new year and a new field. Yes, if you have not heard the Screaming Eagles now have a RED FIELD similar to Boise States’ SMURF FIELD. The question is whose BLOOD will be all over it when they face Montana on 9/18? Well it will be the Eagles if all they do not take one game at a time. They start with Nevada and some are saying here comes upset. Forget about it, the WOLFPACK is going to win. Do not forget about D2 Central Washington. The Wildcats will give it all they got and could very much win just watch. Then Montana, if the Eagles start out 0-3 the season will be over. Hopefully after Montana things will be a lot easier or else. Other non-conference game is Southern Utah. Should be a win but watch out I smell upset Southern Utah wins, Eagles out of Playoff. See You 2011. Predicted record 6-2, 7-4.
Northern Arizona
A great QB Michael Herrick, but a bad team. Easy start against D2 Western New Mexico. Big loss to Arizona St. Then Idaho St, the game that will decide their year. Win and they are the DARK HORSE in the Big Sky, lose and see you in 2011. Another non-conference game is Southern Utah, watch out could be upset. They will need to win 2 of 3 against Montana, Montana St, and Eastern Washington. I do not think so, but good luck. Predicted record 6-2, 7-4.
Weber St
The other possible Dark Horse of the Big Sky. One look at their schedule and you have to agree see you in 2011. There should be a rule that states no team can play more than one against an upper division team. Yes, they are starting with Boston College and ending with Texas Tech. If it is not bad enough the fact they one is the first game and the other is the last game tell me unless they just go 7-1 in Conference see you in 2011. They will loss to Montana, so they will have to beat Eastern Washington, Montana St, and Northern Arizona. The other non-Conference game is against UC Davis, could be a mistake. Predicted record 5-3, 6-5.
Northern Colorado
Not much to talk about. When was the last time this team was over 500? The answer was 2003 when they went 9-2. Since 2003 they won a total of 12 games. Forget about conference they only have a shot against Sacramento St, Portland St, and Idaho St. All three could be losses. Let’s look at their non-Conference Schedule – D2 Adams St, FBS Michigan St, & South Dakota. We know they will lose to Michigan St and South Dakota the question is can they beat the Grizzlies of Adams St. GO GRIZZLIES. Predicted record 3-5, 4-7.
Idaho St
Also, not much to talk about. After two straight years in last place I think this team will win a few and get out of the cellar. This team has not finished above 500 since 2003. They have won a total of 15 games since 2003. They can beat Portland St and Sacramento St but that’s all against Big Sky. The one thing you can say is they could pull one big upset in the Big Sky, remember they almost beat Montana last year losing to a last second field goal 12-10. Non-Conference schedule – NAIA Montana Western, FBS Utah St, FBS Georgia. Again, why two FBS schools, should be a rule against this. Yes, they will beat NAIA Montana Western. Predicated record 2-6, 3-8.
Sacramento St
Whatever!!!!!!!!!! Have been basically a slight less then 500 club since 2000. This is going to be a bad year. The question will be who they will beat in the Big Sky maybe Portland St. Non-Conference FBS Stanford (LOSS), D2 Western Oregon (COULD BE LOSS), UC Davis (LOSS). Predicted record 1-7, 2-9
Portland St
Cellar!!!!!!!! Nine wins in the last three years. Well someone must finish last. Non-Conference Schedule – FBS Arizona St, UC Davis, & FBS Oregon. For the third time there should be a rule against more than one FBS opponent. These are the first three games of the year and there is no D2 game. After that it gets no easier – Idaho St, Montana St, Montana, Weber St, and Eastern Washington. Portland St will be luck to be 1-7 after these first eight games. I predict they will be 0-8. Predicted record 0-8, 0-11.

Comment by mtd Security 08.01.10 @ 12:14 amMIDWEST, we may not belong in the SoCon, that I will agree with. BUT, where else can we go right now??.. right now being the key phrase.
And if we keep beating up on the jv teams, then why havent we wont the championship the last two years?
Comment by Joe 08.01.10 @ 12:52 pmOver the last three years we have lost 6 “JV” games and two were SOCON teams. That tells me two things
1 we are pretty damn good
2 we don’t play JV teams
Do we play some weak teams? Sure we do but so does every team in DIV 1
A great example of that is probably going to happen this year. If VT runs the table they are going to be screaming that they should be in the game they call the nat championship game. But that will be after they have played the teams in the ACC. Not exactly a strong football conference.
Why can’t we just enjoy what we have, while we have it, and see what happens.
MTD. Security Rides Again!!! and his grammar is much better I must say.
