As much as I admire Armanti, my story would probably include Courtney Cox. Something like this:

And then Armanti grabbed the microphone from Springsteen and said (via Dr. Dre on the Dr.Pepper commercial), “Let’s slow it down a bit”. Then, Courtney Cox grabbed my hand and started dirty dancing with me on stage. She moved closer and whispered in my ear softly…”why would we dance in the dark, when we could be dancing back at my place”? She asked if I could bring the “young” Abe with me because Jennifer Anniston was back at her place crying over a recent breakup. Abe looked at me and gave me the secret Republican handshake and said..”let’s roll”. I was somewhat taken aback by Abe’s willingness to join me, but I didn’t say anything. He then glanced at me with a half smile and said…”Excuse me, sir, I’m just doing my duty, so let’s get moving so I can get some booty.”

The four of us celebrated our new friendships the next morning by toasting Mimosas, blended with my private stock of Asti Armant sparkling wine. Man, that was a great night!

It was great to see Armanti. He continues to make the AppNation proud, a real class act. Also super to meet the other App fans there and the AppFan.com gang.

I was there in the HOT SUN, lost a quart of sweat… but it was worth it. What a humble, class act. AE was and will always be an App Champion win or lose. Now he can show the NFL how its done. I’ll be at the game in Charlotte Aug. 21st to cheer him on (wearing a new Carolina # 10 Jersey).

What a great day, seeing A.E., meeting J.E. from Appfan.com, and seeing that A.E’s new ride is American Muscle (Camaro SS). Also got to spend time with a good friend and college buddy from APP. Getting autographs and freebies….priceless.

Thanks Appfan for selecting me as the “Best Memory.” I wish I could have made the two hour trip from Chapel Hill to see our man, and be among my App brethren. I imagine that Armanti will make it to Boone this season for a game. If he does, and they announce him and have him walk out on the field at half, I promise I’ll have a lump in my throat and some watery eyes.

Hello folks, Scott from Scott’s Collectibles here. Just wanted to say thank you to all who came to the event and those who purchased items through the mail. I know it was a HOT DAY and I hope lots of you guys took advantage of the free bottled water we had! It was an experience, a very long week getting ready, spent a ton of money on ads and had a pretty good turnout considering the heat index of over 100! If its ok with the guys here at Appfan.com we may run some other kind of contest in the future for a signed AE 8X10 photo. We had AE sign a bunch of stuff for our store after he finished up the fans (thanks you all for the support) so we have stock on AE available for any of our customers who couldn’t make the event.

And I will be the billionth guy (at least it seems that way) to drool over that SWEET RIDE!

So pretty much the only way I’ll ever be faster than AE is when I’m in my Mustang…which is hands down faster than his Chevy.

I also heard that Armanti bought some parachute pants and some VANS to go with his new camaro.

Great Day (Hot, but great). What a class act. It great to see that a nice signing bonus and contract have not changed AE in the least.

Must say as high as my expectations were he exceeded them. A Class act from the start. He gave us all the time we wanted. Took a great pic with the kids. There is so much the rest of the NFL will learn from him besides his blazing speed and elusiveness. I have a strong feeling this is going to be an incredible year for Armanti…none of this waiting for a season or 12 to figure it out.

Have we switched from Nike to Addidas? I was at the Mall this weekend and they have a pretty large App Section. Everything had addidas on it?

For what it’s worth Dan, several African American coaches apparently interviewed but Coach Moore made the decision on who he thought was the best fit and coach. Makes sense to me. Or were you being sarcastic?

Dan – The premier jerseys are awesome. I doubt they drive the cost of anything down though. I am betting the premiers will be around 120. They are way more durable tho. I wear my Williams jersey a lot and it still looks new.

I would like to see more diversity on the coaching staff, but I also want us to hire the best person for th job. If they’re all white or all black or all green, I don’t care. Hire the best person for the position.

If we are 0-2 after our first two games this year, the coaches will be a sickly shade of green.

It’s a small world….I’m in Shanghai, China this week and wore my Appalachian Stae t-shirt to the Shanghai market place….the guy that just built a statue at ASU and his son spotted me and came over to chat!!!! Small world indeed….

I was at the Chop House at the Braves game last week (having a few B. Quick Grooves) before the Padres game. I look down and see a guy with a faded App State tshirt on with a newer looking UNC cap.

Yep. I got my stitched Williams Jersey for 89.99 at Finish Line.

I was confused. The replica jerseys (what they have now) are screen printed. They go for about 80 bucks. The premier jerseys have stitched names and numbers. They go from 100 and up usually. The authentic jerseys are the mac daddy of all jerseys. If you had pads you could suit up with the team with these things.

I prefer the premiers because they are lighter and a whole lot cheaper than the authentics. They are more durable since they are stitched as well.

I contacted the Panthers Store and they said they would have premiers for AE in black around November. These will probably go for about 120 at the start. For 30 more bucks it is well worth it. I have owned both replica and premier. If you really want to get a good deal wait till about Christmas time and look for these at your local sports store (Finish Line, Champs and so on). These things are usually on sale around Christmas.

I hope to get my AE premier in November. I have tickets to the Bengals game 10 rows from the field. As much as I would love to sport a AE jersey, I am going to wait for the good ones.

Replica (screen printed) – 89-99 (they have these now)
Premier (stitching) – 120 and up (coming November hopefully)
Authentic (You can play) – 300 (yeah I dunno when they are getting these)

Training Camp begins today!

Loved the auto session and enjoyed the store, very nice store, a nascar heaven.

It was a lot of fun and Armanti is a great guy. Its always fun to watch the crazies, I’m the one in the tye die shirt on the picture by the door, lol.
