I personally think that if AE had ran(like we ALL know he can) and done all the other drills at the combine…….it might NOT have been the Tim Teblow…i mean Tim Tebow show. I thought I saw there was some interest a workout with the Panthers and one other team. Am I dreaming or did anyone else see something like that?

Though I would love to see AE at QB for some team I doubt he would get much playing time in that position (for a lot of reasons). If I’m right I would rather see him play every Sunday in a different position. Wherever he ends up I know he’s going to make a difference and represent ASU very well indeed.

Wow, Clayton really does have the bball bug.

The Greenwood paper had a big front page story on AE and the combine. There were three teams mentioned that showed a good bit of interest, one of them being Carolina. Right after that Jake was cut. Hmmm.

Yeah, I know, but you seemed absent today and I didn’t want these young guys (children?) to become overly exuberant.

I’ve always argued (unsuccessfully, of course) with my ACC-fan friends that a tournament like the SoCon is far more interesting/exciting than, say, the ACC tournament. We and all the other SoCon teams know the only way we even get to travel somewhere to serve as cannon fodder is to win our tournament, whereas bigger conferences always send several representatives to the NCAAs.

So, on the ” . . . all about getting to the dance” point, no argument. Better to go and get whacked than to slink home having lost to a conference foe. At least the conference champion gets to hang a banner touting that accomplishment, and perhaps one saying, effectively, “we went.” The other 11 schools don’t get to make either of those statements.

I still prefer football, however. And futbol.

Not that uniforms should matter. I think football has it correct on unis, anyway–wear your colors when you’re at home.

“Right now the only private workout is with Carolina. I have a rescheduled workout with the Colts and Dolphins because they can’t make it to my pro day. The Panthers workout will be on March 18th. All of these workouts will be held in school. The Panthers have been showing a good amount of interest more than any team.”

Careful! I always like Neil Diamond. Not sure I’m comfortable with you associating his music with the Panthers.

The Panthers are more like “Brother Love’s Travelin’ Salvation Show” and Jake is now a “Solitary Man” after Peppers’ “I Am I Said….”

The Panthers have never had the energy of “Brother Love,” not even on the most Hot August Night.

Davidson uses the song as well… they sing it during games. I’ve heard some say it might as well be their fight song.

Man it hurts watching his highlight videos over and over again. What a player and what a shame that he’ll never have the same play making opportunities as he did at app. lets just hope someone takes a chance on him..cause I know that he wont disappoint. I hope he can get the 40 ran in under 4.5, if he does it will help his chances i think for someone to draft him as a wide reciever. He has the potential to be something special at reciever but then again I’ve never seen him play the position. I’d have to belive that someone with his athletic ability would have to have some hands on him. He’s got relatively large hands too, for his size. I just miss him terribly. Who are yall wanting to see start next year? I have still yet to see jamal Jackson throw a ball so I have to favor Deandre. Deandre has got the wheels and he has a heck of an arm, I just dont know about his accuracy.
