Falcons, meet Superman. The dude can fly! Too bad Bucs still lose.

we call him superman cause he actually flies

COACH MAY I PLEASE BLOCK THIS PUNT? Yes you may.

Bucs special teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia gave S Corey Lynch the go-ahead to go after Michael Koenen’s punt 3:00 into the third quarter, seeing an opportunity to take advantage of Lynch’s little-known specialty. Though he plays sparingly on defense, Lynch is quite adept at blocking kicks of all kinds. He blocked six while at Appalachian State, including the field goal that sealed the famous upset of Michigan in 2007.

“I just got a good jump on it, and I was there before I knew it,” said Lynch, who was signed off of the Bengals’ practice squad on Sept. 23. “I was very fortunate to have some blocks in college, and it’s continued into the NFL. I’m just thankful to God for the opportunity. I really enjoy that part of special teams.”

Yes, I have been waiting for that for 2 years. I wish he could improve on defense and get more time.

As a Panthers fan….this play was the only enjoyment I got out of Sunday football. It was a GREAT week for ASU alumni though.

Thanksgiving- Sticks gets a fumble recovery.
Sunday- Lynch blocks a punt.

Unfortunately I think Murrell was the only person on the Jets defense that didn’t intercept Jake.

Nice work Corey.

Jamey, I’m with you, Delhomme is a horrible disappointment. They need to put at least the 2nd or 3rd QB in. I mean that way we have an excuse to why there are so many INT’s. They are going to have to bob and weave in the trade markets to get a QB, and find a way out of Delhomme’s ridiculous contract without paying a fortune. What a bonehead contract move in the offseason.

That’s my boy! Too bad the team failed in the last minute. :( he’s the shining star of the team!

herbie – NFL contracts aren’t guaranteed, not a big deal to get out of it – cut him. As far as his performance, I blame this on the offensive coordinator to a large degree. Why, when it has been proven time and again that Jake is a turnover waiting to happen do you KEEP THROWING? It’s not like they’ve got Nick Goings trying to run the ball…

What a conflict of interest. I sitting in the end zone and did not know how to act. Sure, I was ticked because the Falcons just got the punt blocked. But I know I looked real foolish jumping up and down screaming “App State, baby!!”

Tim, I would have been right there with you!
