wait, i’m confused? Devon needs 137 yards to break a grand but only 240 to break 2,000? I guess that’s supposed to say “2,000 for his career”?
Comment by Dan 11.20.09 @ 12:20 pmJV’s numbers seem really off considering the number of field goals he blows, but I guess you have to consider most of his socring comes on PATs which, remarkably, he doesn’t suck at.
Comment by Dan 11.20.09 @ 12:26 pmHas there ever been a SoCon team to win consecutive titles with perfect 8-0 conference records? I know WVU had a 30 game conference win streak back around 1930, but I mean “modern era”.
Comment by yosef83 11.20.09 @ 12:39 pmYeah Dan, that threw me off too but I thanks he meant 2,000 for a career.
Comment by Chris Scronce 11.20.09 @ 12:53 pmBig uglies = wins! The 2006 line was stellar and I thought we wouldn’t see the likes of them again here at ASU. The past two seasons have had great O line play.
Only losing 13? That’s good to hear.
Comment by Chard 11.20.09 @ 2:21 pmI hope the fellas are focused on this game. WCU showed a spark of life last week, as they have from time to time throughout the season (though seldom enough to actually win). Blowing this one would be a turd in the punch bowl of epic proportions. Who knows, if things break out just right (Montana State pounds Montana, we win huge) we still might land the #4 seed. Doubtfull, I know, but at least possible.
Comment by Carbine 11.20.09 @ 2:39 pmThe funny thing about this series is that UCLA actually has had more wins over ASU in Boone than they’ve had in Loserville. It’s just been a while.
Comment by Flashman 11.20.09 @ 2:47 pmYeah, Chard, and I’ve been pleased that this year’s obvious early recruiting focus has been on the O line, as well.
Comment by DRM 11.20.09 @ 3:06 pmCan’t wait to get to Boone in the morning.
Three letters that I hope our guys have seen this week: VMI. I still get nightmares.
Comment by bigjohn 11.20.09 @ 3:32 pmwow….with those numbers this game could very well end up being like the ‘07 blowout in Boone. The boys will be focused and ready. I have no worries about the kitties from Cullowhee coming to The Rock and pulling out an upset.
Comment by ASU in the QC 11.20.09 @ 4:50 pmIn the ‘07 blowout, our D gave up 400+ yards. Let’s hope ‘09 is a real blowout, on both sides of the ball.
Comment by DRM 11.20.09 @ 5:34 pmYeah, I remember being chapped about the 35 pts. they scored on us in that game AND the fact that we missed a PAT or we would’ve hung 80 on ‘em.
Comment by yosef83 11.20.09 @ 6:44 pmI’d like to see 80 by us tomorrow!
Comment by DRM 11.20.09 @ 6:57 pmI heard that after that game Charlie Cobb was raggin Julian Rauch about that missed PAT & how we would’ve had 80 pts. & Rauch responded “Yeah, but I nailed the game winner at the Big House!”
Comment by yosef83 11.20.09 @ 7:55 pmbigjohn – Right on about VMI, I was there, it was terrible. If we can beat michigan, whee can certianly beat us, anf they wait all year for this game.
Carbine – if Montana Loses, we WILL be the number 4 seed – you can count on it.
