The HBO series “Hard Knocks” is all over the Cincinnati Bungels Bengals this season. And last night, the legend of Corey Lynch grew another six feet.
On Father’s Day this year, Lynch was on I-75 when he came upon the scene of a wreck. Superman to the rescue!
He’s credited with saving the life of a woman in the vehicle. And two weeks ago he had a reunion with the woman’s family. And HBO was there.
As described by Big C at the MMB –
Apparently Corey Lynch was the first person on the scene of a bad wreck on I-75. He noticed that the driver was pinned in and wasnt breathing. Corey moved her seat back in order for the lady to begin breathing and for all intensive purposes, saved her life. The lady who was injured is still wearing a very bulky neck brace. Her family visited Corey at Bengals Camp in Georgetown, Ky. During one of the teams breaks, he went over and visited with the family. The family tried to let him get back to work and Corey said, no, we have a few minutes off, I would rather stay over here and hang out with you guys. Another example why Corey Lynch is a great human being. You know, God put Corey Lynch in that situation because he knew Corey could handle it. It was a very wonderful segment. Corey was recognized by coach Marvin Lewis as being a hero.
‘Nuff said.
Gah! Could he BE any more awesome?
I think we should start a campaign to elect him president!

Comment by parking lot 08.20.09 @ 2:32 pmI heard Tebow is the guy who sold Armanti his lawn mower.
Comment by Tampa Bay Fan 08.20.09 @ 3:23 pmi just saw a rerun of the show. it looks like Corey has gotten a lot bigger. he is still doing well. hes only in his 2nd year. i hope hey keep him and give him a chance. it is great to say that he was from App!!!!!!!
Comment by appirishmen 08.20.09 @ 3:39 pmI am proud to say that Corey Lynch is a part of the Appalachian State University family. People with that type of character do not come along often, so we should all be appreciative that we had the chance to see him at work. I truly hope to see #47 honored with the rest of the ASU legends. Seriously, can we just retire the number and let it hang as a standard of character and excellence at ASU?
