Getting a jump on next year’s recruiting

WeHWSNBM announces his, uh, second first signing as App State coach – “Recruiting analyst Bob Gibbons of All Star Sports in Lenoir ranks Perry among the top 125 rising seniors this summer.” Hype alert! And please, let’s not starting callings kids the “next” Curry show.

If the kid is really 6-3, 190 lbs. he could be a force right away but I’ve got a feeling he’s actually somewhere along the lines of 6-0, 160 lbs.

What if he can’t shoot?

if this article attached is correct…. to even attempt 15 3-pointers in a showcase game means you are either an idiot or very confident in your shot… and he hit 12 out of 15…

Sweet! I played Hempfield High School growing up in Lititz, PA (Warwick Warriors baby!). Can’t wait to have a local down here at App. Some good basektball talent in that area but most usually stick to the schools close to home like Drexel, Temple, or one of the 12 other schools in Philly! haha

12 of 15 is not that bad! ;) I will take that … like apptastic was saying … either the guy is not the brightest apple that fell off the tree or he has got some confidence …

Confidence is incurable …

I’m sure he can shoot. I’m just thinking that’s more important than being 6′3″

I think so … at this point we need some ballers no matter what their size is … Our football team has shown us that size does not matter … and this guy sounds like he can shoot and that is what we need … shooters … the size will come

If he can hit 80% of his 3-pointers then the kid can be 4′7″ for all I care. A legitimate outside threat creates endless opportunities for the entire offense. If we can free up some space for the big men then this team can move up in the SoCon rankings. Davidson was a pretty good team before Curry ever got there…but look at his impact on the entire offense. If we can get anything near that then this is a huge asset for ASU.

The MMB is reporting that Fancher is the new GA at UT. Didn’t see that coming . . .
