JMU quote of the day. Regarding that fumbled loss, “It’s engraved in us.”

More Big Ones coming? Pleasepleasepleasepleaseplease.

Trivia time. Against whom did AE score his first TD?

In popular demand. If you see someone wearing this, you must rub their chest.

UMass thoughts on being “run over”. Appears defense let ‘em down.

Cause LSU beats nobody by 30. And ESPN continually beats your lil’ bitty website.

Meet the Dukes. You forgot they are defending imaginary champions.

Nipping at our feet. No argument here.

Another power poll. Look who’s nipping there!

Not an understatement. Stink wins are “miracles” now.

Wofford looking ahead. Playing the Cocks is nice, but they want The Stink.

ACC quote of the day. “The Demon Deacons tested themselves against decent BCS-level teams, while the Seminoles are currently tied with Appalachian State for the Southern Conference lead.”

About the ACC quote. It praised Wake for playing “decent” 1-a teams. You call Baylor and Ole Miss decent? Aren’t they perennially bad teams?

How dare you link to my blog in a mocking fashion. You mountain douches seem to forget that we stomped your asses, and ended your sorry streak last year. This year will be no different. fcae it. we own you.
Suck on that.
Until october, adieu

Relax Opie. You guys won by 3 whole points to which we handed you 14 points before the game hardly started. Now, before you get full of yourself, remember, we are in the middle of winning national championships. Your team is trying to get back to having winning seasons. With your foul mouth, I am assuming you are a kid or uneducated….maybe both. If you graduated from GSU, I consider that uneducated. Oh yeah, I want you to know Edwards and Company are gonna be ready to play in the Stink this year.

Comment by Drew 09.17.08 @ 10:54 pm

Winning seasons? I think the altitude is effecting your memory, sweetheart. We were a hair off your mama’s back away from winning the conference last year. That was in a rebuilding year too. As for my education, that is absolutely hilarious coming from an App state douche who only writes in half sentences. Try writing a couple of paragraphs for a change, moron. However maybe that is why your parents named you “Drew”; because you couldn’t write. (rimshot, please)
Lastly, speaking of stink, have you all gotten running water in your podunk little stadium yet? When the wind is just right, your porta-potties are ripe. It must be all the coon and possum you people eat up there. Ya’ll call that stench the smell of victory though.
Oh yeah, and your chancellor has a lisp worse than Cindy Brady.
Peace out, pecker heads

hey opie taylor…sounds like you’ve been sippin’ on the stink juice a little much…

Now if I read your blog correctly, you used the term “miracle” in reference to your latest big-time victory over the mighty Northeastern Huskies in overtime at home at ‘Stink Creek Stadium’ = funny.

And by the way, yes, you ALMOST tied for the SoCon title last year while ‘rebuilding’ with the Offensive Player of the Year on your team – he’s gone now – back to rebuilding without as much talent – gonna be a long year for ya’ll…

Since you are big on the term ‘douche’ perhaps you should look into using one and maybe it will help you remove your head from your posterior and realize things have changed in the SoCon…

You’d better be worried about Elon this week…

Cute attitude Opie. I have a feeling Elon is going to mop the floor with you guys. If they don’t, App will. As for my name, I’d say its a heck of a lot better than Opie or whatever your real name is. It screams Andy Griffith. I did check out your blog and Im afraid to say that Appfan’s is a lot more professional. Graduating from GSU, using the Blogger service is probably the best you can do do huh? Lastly, lose the attitude and the mouth, you’ll get farther in life. Alright, I’ll leave it at that since I don’t want to go back and forth about something trivial.

Comment by Drew 09.18.08 @ 9:40 am

Wow! Opie’s got his panties in a bunch! He graduated from GSU in 1996? A bit old to be talking like an immature high school bully, don’t you think?

Comment by Andrea 09.18.08 @ 9:52 am

Dear Paul Johnson,

We miss you. Why did you leave us? Was Navy that great? Do you really like Georgia Tech more than us? Take us back. We just want to hold you and love you, and run your option offense. We promise to never try and throw a pass again. We’re just not right without you Paul. You complete us. Don’t make us come to Atlanta and stalk you. We will do it, we have nothing better to do on Saturdays. Remember the championship years. You told us you loved us. Why don’t you love us Paul, why?

Love,
Opie

Why can’t App beat GSU? Must be that your players are awed by the 6 national titles. Keep it up, little guys. You are about halfway there.
Oh, and if this site is professional looking, than GW Bush is our greatest president ever. Whoever runs this site is showing his pathetic App education. Dude is an extremely poor writer. That’s probably no big deal though, as most App fans can barely read anyway.

Comment by Opie 09.18.08 @ 5:06 pm

I didn’t realize ASU had never beaten GSU. I guess those times I witnessed that was nothing but a dream. Thanks for straightening that out for me.

Thanks for representing your school with such class. My esteem for GSU just grows and grows with each of your wonderful contributions to this blog.

Comment by hapapp 09.18.08 @ 9:16 pm

Dear Opium,
I envision you sitting in your safe, personal space in front of your PC while typing your angst aloud as your heart beats fortissimo in frustration at the elementary things your heart-driven, mindless keyboard cannot change. In your futile attempts to right the GSU ship this year with past tense scenarios is simply called “hindsight” and perhaps, be treated as such. I encourage you to post here, on this very blog, on October 18, 2008 after game time. I am most certain, now that you have achieved the level of respect that you deserve, that your post-game insight will be anticipated thoroughly. I can only pray that you marinate the proverbial crow enough before consumption. Good luck to your team and school in all regards.

ChadWitTwinz, I almost fell out of my chair. Awesome!

Comment by Brad 09.19.08 @ 7:46 am

Chad, why do you have to use so many big words?

Can’t you just call him an idiot like a normal person?

Comment by clayton 09.19.08 @ 9:57 am

Does anyone know if we are wearing white tomorrow?

Comment by Brad 09.19.08 @ 12:54 pm

To Opie,

You know, for a lawyer, you do not seem to make very educated comments. Sure, using emotion and poorly chosen words is a hallmark of sports fanatacism, but your profession (not to mention your age) should set a higher “bar”.

Yes, you ended Appalachian’s home winning streak and we were (and are) upset by that. Georgia Southern is an accomplished program that we respect. That is until your band, that we graciously invited to perform on our field, acted like drooling idiots. Silly blog comments like yours perpetuate our view that GSU fans are a bunch of incompetent schoolchildren that wouldn’t know a proper insult if it slapped them in the face. In short, we’ll return the respect when we’re shown some. Use grownup words when you post on our sites.

Comment by BLC 09.19.08 @ 1:10 pm

Opie has alot of growing up to do.
