What a super scrimmage

Everyone knows Superman can fly
Stolen from the Cincinnati Enquirer

Corey “Superman” Lynch played his first pro football scrimmage Friday night, and the rookie Bengal wasted no time grabbing the spotlight … and the ball … and Chris Perry … and John Lynch comparisons … and …

Geez, anything he didn’t grab?

Lynch’s end-zone interception of quarterback Jordan Palmer was the defense’s biggest score in a 44-27 victory over the offense at Georgetown College, but it was his tackle on a third-and-four dump pass to running back Chris Perry that may have been the scrimmage’s biggest example that new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer’s message of being physical in the secondary is taking hold.

True, it’s just one scrimmage. And it wasn’t the other Palmer throwing the ball. But still, that Super confidence has yet to be shaken.

THEN THERE WAS SATURDAY. Lynch is put in a new position – cornerback/safety in the nickel package. Similar results.

He followed up Friday’s end-zone interception of Jordan Palmer with a sack and interception of Carson Palmer on Saturday in sweeping the Palmer brothers. Maybe the most important things are he made those two plays on Carson after he got burned by Chatman and the interception came out of his new hybrid position in nickel.

There’s no question that since the hitting began, Lynch is looking more and more comfortable. He said his transition from Division I Appalachian State “is just as some of the big college guys.”

WE HAVE A LOVE CONNECTION, CHUCK. Just one weekend folks, let’s not get too carried away.

The way he kicked total butt all weekend, I would have sworn the Cincinnati Bengals rookie sixth-round draft pick was actually Denver Broncos perennial Pro Bowler John Lynch.

They share the same surname … Lynch.

They play the same position … free safety.

They wear the same uniform number … 47.

And now, I can honestly say … SEEING IS BELIEVING.

Would a guy who types in all caps lie?

IT’S ALL BASED ON PHYSICS. Check out the last minute of this TV report.

Da man Go LYNCH do your things!! Keep up with hard work!! Bengals is not kind team I like to keep up with but I do keep up with bengals because of Lynch. Also, I like keep up with dexter jackson at bucs, even I m Panther fan and App fan.

He took down Chris Perry solo huh? Any coincidence that he has no problems tackling the Wolverine alumni? I think not…
