j/k, i would never wish death on anyone.. but man, I wish he would actually start thinking logically and answering me when I call him out and prove him wrong.. oh, and post facts instead of “I know I’m right and nobody will ever prove me otherwise — even if you have facts and I just have opinions without any basis whatsoever!”
I just love the fact that he is so committed to his way of thinking. Without guys like that, this place would be boring. One day when Peyton or Eli Manning have kids…they will play in the SEC, for Appalachian State, at a 90,000 seat stadium, for a National Championship.
See we need midwest. Like Jamey said without him this place would be boring. He actually has some good ideas sometimes. You just gotta look past his method of delivery.
He is spot on about having a vision. We must know where we want to go if we are ever going to get there.
I get that it’s fun and easy to make fun of Midwest. But I honestly cannot think of a time when he has seriously suggested we shoot for the SEC. Most of the time I see him bashing the SoCon and claiming we should set our sights to better conferences. But again, I have yet to see anyone on this board seriously claim we would ever, EVER be able to play in a BCS conference. By the way, if anyone does think we can play in the BCS then please go see a doctor. CUSA and non-AQ conferences are another matter altogether.
Oh, I agree we must have a vision, but his thinking we don’t is just insane. We have a vision — we just need the funds and means to produce that vision. Being a state supported school, we HAVE to get everything approved by the state. He seems to just think we are doing absolutely nothing and are just sitting on a bunch of cash or we have ultimate control over anything we do and should just take a risk in spending tons of money to make it happen. Unfortunately, neither one of those are or can happen…
Why would we not be able to play in a BCS conference? all the ACC schools do.

It is felt by some here that if they are not “in the know” on the vision, or it is not their vision, it does not exist. Many here WAY over estimate their importance. We can, do, and should complain about all the little things we don’t like. That is normal and really the reason this platform exists. On the other hand to think we got to where we are, to have the record and reputation we have, without a vision is just stupid.
Point for AppWyo. That’s pretty funny.
We pretty much got our butts handed to us by an ACC school last year. Said ACC team did not win the ACC and was beat by clempsun twice. It retrospect tech should have lost to the holes and few others.
But yes I agree the ACC is weak.
The only vision you need for today is the girl with the pac-man dress on in the link above.

I could be mistaken, but to me this photo looks like McAfee Knob on the AT in Virginia. If so, there’s all sorts of safe room for the photographer. But as I recall that section of the trail, getting the sofa there wouldn’t have been easy–unless, as someone suggested, this is a Photoshop product.

I’m the one in the middle of the picture and its not photoshopped at all! it at Macafees knob in Roanoke virginia. We hiked the couch up 3.3 miles and back just to take some awesome pictures!!! Epic day.

Its definitely not photoshopped. Its my roommates couch, and i think he was the one that took the pic. They have a habit of hiking with that couch. They have a whole album with the couch at the Cascades.
