I’m all about giving Capel his 5 years to see what he can do. Its only fair. BUT, I always felt Matt should be the man here. I think we are seeing how great of a recruiter Matt is, as is we needed more evidence. Sorry Jason.
The capel project is getting old. Replace him with Matt next season.

Matt will not come back with the current administration within the athletic department. The powers that be cut all ties with Matt and treated the situation very poorly — never even thought about giving the guy an interview even though he bled black and gold. It’s a shame, really.
Matt won’t come back as long as Cobb is here.

Well that didn’t last long. Admin has turned things around we are going to be great. Ecu is in deep crap. Charlie got a great hire. things are looking great.

Satterfield must be nuts to come back here. Our AD sucks, we have no vision, and we are not in the ACC. Could any place be worse than here?
Well clearly there is quite a difference in the administrations interest in football vs. other sports. That is obvious from every aspect. Simply watch cobb at a basketball game.
To think an AD does not want to win in ALL sports is just nuts.
Wanting to win is swell and all, but creating an environment for winners is his job for ALL sports.
I think they do an above average job for a school that has NO INTEREST at all in basketball. Nothing against Matt but if he were such an outstanding catch as a head coach why isn’t he one. Plenty of jobs open up every year. This let’s fire every coach blog is nuts.
If APP is above average in basketball atmosphere, and that is not a coaches responsibility, by the way, then NCAA should drop the sport!
Capel is the worth thing to happen to App, they are not only not winning but most of them aren’t even making grades!! Capel needs to go ASAP!!!

Didn’t say they were above average in atmosphere. It is hard to have atmosphere when the place is empty. It is up to the fans to create the atmosphere. Can’t have it if the place is empty. If you are looking for contests and concerts, and dancing girls, then go to the circus. They have supplied a ficility, a coach, and a team. The real problem is that the students don’t care. They are in the dorms and appartments watching the ACC. As far as a non student fan base, they just live to far away and they are also home watching the ACC. I think the sport in much of the NCAA major conferences is doing just fine.
